Ve’ahavta is a Jewish humanitarian charity dedicated to promoting positive change in the lives of people marginalized by poverty. Ve’ahavta was looking to redesign tribute cards to increase donations from card sales. The blue card features the traditional Rosh Hashanah greeting, Shanah Tovah! (a good year). Traditional symbols of Rosh Hashanah (honey, apple, etc.) appear alongside words reflective of Ve’ahavta’s mission. The maroon card highlights a quote from Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch. I employed the Fibonacci sequence to vary the font size, enabling the quote to flow. These unique designs deviate from more traditional holiday cards, while retaining familiar elements of each holiday.
